CASA GERMAN 1806

Casa | Trinidad, Cuba

DESCRIPTION

Casa Address: Calle Colón, between Jesús Menéndez (Alameda) & Julio Antonio Mella (Guásima), Trinidad, Cuba.

Our Casa: We, Misleydis & Gustavo, bought the Casa in 2014 and beautifully restored it, respecting the local heritage; the interior design is in keeping with the historical architecture of Trinidad and decorated with antique furniture. This is a private casa for our guests, the hosts do not live in the Casa. Located on a quiet street in the historical center of Trinidad, the Casa is only a short walk along the cobbled streets to Plaza Mayor and Casa de la Trova. It is also a short walk to the BANDEC bank and Parque Cespedes.

The hosts: Our lovely home is run by my brother Orelvis, even though he does not live in the Casa, he is a super host and is always at your disposal. Orelvis can help you settle into the Casa, he can offer lovely home cooked meals; his speciality is seafood, or he can make recommendations to local restaurants. Orelvis can organise all kinds of activities and excursions as well as bike rental.

Our Rooms: We have 4 guest bedrooms (3 on the ground floor and 1 on the first floor). The bedroom on the 1st floor has 1 double bed, it has amazing rooms over Trinidad and is a different price to the bedrooms on the ground floor)

Excellent #4.8 (out of 5)

Cleanliness #5...Very clean
Comfort #5...Very comfortable (bed, cold ac and hot showers. The dresser was so needed to put the clothes in).
Location #5...Within walking distance of everything. Quiet neighbours and neighbourhood.
Facilities #4.....free access to the patio and house, no complaints.
Friendliness #5....The husband is an excellent cook. The wife is very approachable and engaging.

What didn’t you like?
The tiles in the shower. Very slippery. A mat needs to be put down to make sure you don't fall.

What did you like?
The roof to view, priceless.

I thoroughly enjoyed my vacation. The casas you picked out were all great.

Besos, Tere

Hostel German in Trinidad: The casa was furnished in antiques and was quite comfortable. The hosts served a fabulous breakfast, and in our 4 days in Trinidad, they cooked an evening meal for us twice. They are very proud of their cooking and generous servings. We took Salsa lessons within the casa, and the instructor was quite good. The location is only a few blocks from the square, yet is clean and quiet. The hosts were generous with their time in helping us find beaches, taxis, Spanish lessons, etc. My wife, father of 87, and I all had a great time.
